Happy St. Patrick’s Day From the Staff!

The luck of the Irish came our way when you became a resident. Here is our St. Patty’s wish to you:

May there always be work for your hands to do;

May your purse always hold a coin or two;

May the sun always shine on your windowpane;

May a rainbow be certain to follow each rain;

May the hand of a friend always be near you;

May your heart be filled with gladness to cheer you.

A Community For All Seasons

Renting has year-round advantages, but we are now entering the seasons that have special reasons for continuing to remain with us. Spring arrives this month, and summer is just around the corner. You can spend endless hours mowing, manicuring and fertilizing your lawn, or you can enjoy the delightful weather and let us take care of it for you. Home repairs can take more than just time. They can also take money, and depending on the size of the repair, lots of it. When you are renting with us, we take care of these things for you. So sit back, relax and enjoy the season and let us spend our time maintaining your home.

Don’t Forget

Rent is due on the first of the month and will be considered late if it is not in our office by the fifth. When making rental payments, please make sure your apartment number and phone number are on your check or money order.

Daylight Saving Time

You’ll lose an hour of sleep, but it’s just might be worth it! Daylight Saving Time returns on Sunday morning, March 11, so set your clocks forward and begin enjoying that “extra” hour of daylight!

Better To Be Seen, Not Heard

This spring you may decide to open the windows and enjoy the fresh air and warmer temperatures. But remember to be courteous to your neighbors. Noises and voices carry, especially when windows are open. Keep radios and TVs at a reasonable level and always respect the community quiet hours of _______ to ______.

Control the Trash

With spring come brisk winds. Gusty winds can scatter litter all over the community if not properly disposed of or placed in the trash receptacles. Our maintenance team tries their best to keep the grounds free of trash. Please do not litter, and make sure all your trash is secured in the dumpster. Thank you for helping us keep our community beautiful.

Be Sure You Insure

When you add it up, you’ll see that it would cost a small fortune to replace all your furniture, clothes, electronics and accessories. Get peace of mind by making sure you are insured for all your home’s contents. It’s as easy as a couple of pizzas a month. Call a local insurance agent today!

Good Luck Is Not Just for the Irish

To our Irish friends and others alike, we wish you good luck this month and always. We are so lucky to have you as residents. We hope you feel lucky also to be living in our great community. Remember, you can be even luckier by referring your friends and family to live at our community. You will receive a referral fee of $_____ and you will have the best neighbors in town—after all, you picked them yourself. Talk about finding the gold at the end of the rainbow!

Happy St. Patrick’s Day from your friends at ____________ (community).

Critter Control

Many little animals will be returning to our community in the next few weeks after hiding or hibernating during the winter months. Raccoons, opossums, squirrels and the like start scurrying about in the spring. Although we like our furry little friends, let’s make sure they stay where they belong. Please remember that food or trash left on your patio/balcony might attract these animals. When disposing of trash, please secure the dumpster lid. While cute to watch from afar, these animals can carry disease and cause quite a mess.

Suggestions

Suggestions are being accepted for our next community activity. Contact the office if you have a suggestion.

Spring Storms

Good news–winter is almost over, but sometimes spring can bring bad weather as well. Strong storms and tornadoes occur frequently during the spring. We want you to be prepared. Make sure you have a plan for severe weather.

• Designate an interior room (perhaps a closet or bathroom) for everyone to gather.

• Keep a working flashlight and radio handy.

• Listen to the weather reports carefully.

• Never underestimate warnings or watches. It is always better to be safe than sorry.

Women’s History Month

The theme for the 2012 National Women’s History Month is: Women’s Education – Women’s Empowerment. Take a minute to thank those who empowered you with your education and help encourage those who are coming behind you. Let them know that their education will go a long way in helping them achieve their future goals.

National Nutrition Month

National Nutrition Month is a nutrition education and information campaign sponsored annually by the American Dietetic Association. The campaign is designed to focus attention on the importance of making informed food choices and developing sound eating and physical activity habits. Initiated in March 1973 as a week-long event, “National Nutrition Week” became a month-long observance in 1980 in response to growing public interest in nutrition. We encourage everyone to build a healthy lifestyle this month and always. Visit www.eatright.org to learn more.
